Shes into scrapbooking and stuff and she has been wanting it and I want to get it for her birthday. Other than the machine itself what else is needed for the expression series or what is recommended to have? and whats the cheapest place to find it online or in the store? is it worth it? thanks
I would look on the shopping channel websites as they will give you the most information.
The machine I think comes with the basics, but if she needs any other templates ask her. I think the expression series may be an additional template.
The shopping channels always seem to get best deals. Otherwise you can try ebay or amazon. Online is always cheaper as you don’t pay for any overheads. There are loads of online crafting warehouse so check out the prices there, just by typing cricut in a google search.
I have many designs and ideas, and I would like to produce them for scrapbooking materials, i.e. paper, envelopes, albums, stamps, etc.
You need to contact any companies that manufacture scrapbook materials. Contact their Research and Development Dept. or the purchasing manager, or creative director. The company operator can direct you. Go to a store that carries the materials for scrap booking and the product manufacturer or company will be listed on the product. Make sure it is who makes the product and not who is selling it.
for instance. the ABC company may make the product for company 123 who packages it and sells it at the craft store. you want to contact ABC company. As for you producing the products yourself for mass marketing. It would require a large amount of money, materials, production, packaging etc.
I need Hollywood Hills font lettering (stickers preferably), tire marks (stamp maybe?), and maybe some aladdin like "flare"… I’ve been everywhere! help!
I have seen tire marks in stickers and in rubber stamps. Do you have a Hobby Lobby by you? check there.
A while back I came across a website that sold scrap booking templates specifically for guests to fill-in-the-blank at a baby shower. The template had all kinds of questions on it, like "when will the baby be born?" and "what will the baby’s name be?" and "how much will the baby weigh?". I am not looking for blank templates, I need the one with all the questions on it. We will be having the guests fill these out, we will not be doing any pasties or pictures. Thanks.
Here are some good ones.

I just bought a Cricut Expression and I am having a lot of trouble!! I bought cardstock to cut and it won’t cut through it! I have the blade on the highest setting and I have the unit on multi-cut 4 times, and it STILL won’t cut properly. Then, when I take the paper off of the cutting mat, it sticks to the mat so badly that the paper is ruined. Does anyone have this problem or know how to fix it? I am thinking of returning it immediately unless there are some tricks to using it that would help.
I too agree that it sounds like the blade housing is inserted wrong. It should be in the middle notched section so the bottom is almost flush with the machine. Also make sure that you actually have your blade inserted properly in the blade housing unit. I would remove it and and re-insert it just to be sure.
I had the baby bug and now have the expression on both models the mats have sometimes been an issue as to being too sticky. I usually take some heavy cardstock that is just an "extra" and apply it and pull it off a few time to break in the sticky mat. I would also recommend buying a cricut spatula($5) to help lift off the cut pieces.
I LOVE my expression and wouldn’t trade it for any other scrapbooking tool! I hope it gets fixed. If all else fails call provocraft Customer Service they are typically very helpful and they do stand behind their products. Or go to the Cricut site there is a message board there and everyone is always very helpful.
font/color/size it wont let me. Do i need to reinstall the program? Any suggestions?
Contact the manufacturer to get the right information.

hi there. Im from Australia. I think A steve Irwin Page would be great. Our Main sports over here, Rugby league, Motor racing – v8 Supercars, Cricket.
Foods would be Pavlova, Meat pies, Lamingtons, Vegemite – try google images for these if you cant find any embellishments in the shops. then you can either print them out to use, or make your own embellishments (Which I have done myself).
The main brand of car we have over here is Holden and Ford. We also are the land of the work Ute…lol!
Try checking out a few web sites for your information page.. like a tourist site…
here is one I just found for you.

GOODLUCK!
i love to make creative things with my scrapbooking supplies but, i’ve ran out of ideas and this time i would like to make something i can make money with.
start making books for ppl and charging then. my aunt did that and she made a killing in profit. She put a ad in paper, local scrapbook stores, internet site and ppl paid her to make albums for them. Mostly it was busy moms who were looking for a easy way out of getting a gift for someone, but it worked. If you dont want to get into that then try selling pre-made pages on eBay, I know a few ppl that make good money from that. Good luck
Why is there so man cartridges? What can you do with the machine alone? Is there a way around the cartridges? What do the cartridges do? Say you have a Hello Kitty cartridge, how does this work, do you have to have a different color of paper for each thing on her? How does this work?
They come with instructions for these.
I am thinking of starting a scrapbooking weekend retreat business. It would be a service where scrapbookers can stay in a luxury hotel and have 24 hour access to scrapbooking with free make & takes and an on-site store. There would be great meals, treats, prizes, goodie bags, etc. I am wondering if people are interested in this and what price range scrapbookers would pay. So for example, to stay at a 3star hotel, with assigned scrapbooking space (where your stuff can stay the whole weekend) and free make & takes and say 5 meals. What price range would be appropriate? $150-$200 $200-$250 $250-$300 $300-$350+ This includes your hotel room (double occupancy), goodie bag, 5 meals, scrapbooking space and of course an idea/punch/die cut station and 3 make & takes. Your input is greatly appreciated. I am looking at hosting 50-75 people per event.
I think it sounds like a great idea and I think 300-350 is reasonable. Especially if it is a girls trip and they split the expense. My cousins meet in the middle between their two states and stay at a hotel and scrap all weekend and spend some time doing other things. The on site store is a great idea because you always forget something. I think that its a shame that "creative" people on this site can’t think of something constructive to say. If this is your goal then you should go for it. There is no one on this or any other site that can tell you what you should do and enjoy doing for a living. Please let me know how it works out. PS if the rooms are double occupancy then you could as I mentioned above offer some sort of 2fer, more people, more money, more word of mouth. Best of luck!!!
