Help! Do you have any wedding scrapbooking ideas?

I’ve never scrapbooked before in my life and I want to do one for my wedding. Do you have any ideas of what to put in there or have any unique ideas? Thanks!

Not married but I’ve scrapbooked several books. You might want to stick with the colors of the wedding. Keep that theme going.

They have special nicely front covered decorated (all fancy) scrapbook albums. You can try finding them at Michaels. Their all white & with embellishments on them. There’s probably more but different. (You can check Hobby Lobby, JoAnns, even Walmart. Or any other small scrapbook stores in your location)

There’s great paper for that. Make sure its acid free so that it doesnt mess up your photos. Get some double sided tape-photo safe, acid safe. Archival safe etc. Or some running adhesives-looks like those correctional white out tapes. Stick them to your photos-back & place over your paper. A nice touch would be layering 2 different colors (the ones from your wedding theme). There’s also Jolee’s Boutique (You might want to stick to this brand even though their a bit expensive only because they have 3D stickers for ANY occasion) For your wedding: there’s the proposal, the bachelorette party, the wedding, the honeymoon etc. They have plenty wedding related. So these will be great to add an extra touch to your pages.

Also, some nice ribbon-the color of your theme or silver always works great. & add some to your pages layering them over the corner of your pages/photos.

It be great if you did have an extra invitation somewhere around & saved it. You could use that in the scrapbook. If you have a pix of your wedding of you two together….a nice 1st page will do great with that!

If you are going to write on your scrapbook make sure you get some acid free, archival free, special journaling pens. Or else if you use regular pens they will bleed & eventually fade with time-not good. You can buy some at Walmart for like $5–Ek Success. You can get some Zig Markers, Sakuras etc.-Michaels carries a great selection of markers.

Do pages of your guest. Any quotes you might have or nice notes they might have left you. Etc.

Google "wedding scrapbooks" or "wedding scrapbook layouts" images will come out. You can use those for ideas.

HTH. Congrats! Good Luck & have fun making it!! :D

Does anyone have any craft/scrapbooking ideas?

I’m in a crafty mood, yet im out of ideas…does anyone have anything fun that they’ve made that wont cost a fortune?

For example, a friend and i just took composition books, covered and decorated them, inked the pages and now we have journals we write in. Thanks a bunch!

Always a good place Unanimous Craft:

If you don’t find anything there, here’s my own idea. Create a scrapbook, like the one you described above. Use blank pages though, so you can add pictures to them. Have the first pages start with landscape pictures in various corners. The next pages will have plants and foliage and flowers. Then the middle pages, cats, horses, or animals that you like. Then move back to plants, then move back to landscape. On the front cover do a sunrise, and on the back put a sunset. Voila! The perfect journal.

I need scrapbooking ideas, with photos, for my own work.?

I recently got into the craft and want to get more creative. What are some things I should try?

Good for you! I have been scrapbooking for seven years now….I got into it quite accidentally. For tons and tons of free creative ideas, go to the Creative Memories website below. Click on "project center" for tons and tons of free ideas! They are beautiful, I might add, and time is your only limit.

www.mycmsite.com/marycluley

In addition, the proper tools make for a beautiful scrapbook, also. Punches are available and the sky is the limit, there!

In addition, for creative titles, I always go to www.dennydavis.net I choose my topic, and then look it up alphabetically and you would not believe all the ideas on that website. I don’t know who runs it, but it is awesome!

While at the Creative Memories website, go to "shop products" then "traditional scrapbooking" then "tools" for awesome cutting tools….we call them speed tools as they are so quick and the end result is immense creativity!

Good luck to you and I sincerely hope I have helped you in some way!

Does any one have any project ideas for a scrapbooking class?

My mother in law asked me to teach a scrapbooking class to some teenage girls. i have no idea what to teach. I’m still learning myself! anyways… i was thinking about showing then how to make a scrapbook w/ paper and some ribbon. Is that a good place to start? please help! thanks!

It’s fairly easy to make a small paper bag album and it isn’t too costly either:

http://www.papercraftcentral.com/paper-bag-album.html

Or you could make one with only a few pages from a chipboard album blank:

http://www.papercraftcentral.com/romantic-ideas.html

Another idea is to start with a sketch and have an example page of how you used the sketch yourself. Here is a place I get a lot of page sketches from:

http://www.pagemaps.

Perhaps give each of the girls a kit of papers, cardstock, ribbon, maybe buttons or punched shapes or paper flowers and show them how to follow a sketch. You can even cut out a piece of plain paper to represent photos and let them find a photo they want to add to their competed layout later.

The main thing is to have some fun and allow people to ‘bend’ the sketch requirements a little if they want to, to let them express themselves :) They may find they can think up their own sketches after a couple of sessions like this.

I hope it all turns out well for you!

Any ideas for storing scrapbooking paper?

Hi :)
We have shelving units that basically look like a grid, like shelves (i think bigger) than 35x35x35
We have lots of scrapbooking paper, and its a bit awkward and messy to just stack it in the shelves.
Any simples ideas on how to separate the papers easily within the shelves?
And any other ideas how to store it? How do you do it?
Thanks! :)

I use clear "IRIS" boxes. they go on sale at michaels every few weeks for 4.99. I have a stack of them. (like 20 but I have a paper addiction). You can use 6 or so to store your papers. divided into color groups. Like red pinks together, blue greens, blk and whites however you like. But this way you can just get the box out that has all like colors so you can match to pic’s. The boxes also protect the corners of your paper, which saves money in the long run. Mine are kept in an old school teachers mail slot wooden unit.

here is a link for info. but i would wait for a michael’s sale.

I need fun ideas for a scrapbooking page on my abortion clinic visit. Ideas?

I’m totally into this scrapbooking thing right now, and I want to scrapbook major events in my life thus far. My abortion was pretty big, so I am devoting a page in my scrapbook to it. I need help with lay out ideas. Also, I can’t seem to find cute stickers relating to aborted fetuses. Any websites to help me? Thanks. Oh, I was 6 weeks along. Thanks again!

Put babby talk balloons on the pictures of the aborted fetus. Have it saying things like, "Dang! Hoover makes some powerful vacuum cleaners!" or "When the Doc said to break a leg, why’d he break every piece of cartilege I had?" Or "Hey Mom look!! No hands!!! No legs either!!!"" Or "Is that my arm or my penis lying in the trash can?"

You know, funny stuff like that is great for coffee table reading at family get togethers.
